SMART along with REACH an organization committed to the eradication of Tuberculosis and to ensuring proper and the full treatment of patients living with TB successfully completed a 6 month long program on spreading awareness on the symptoms, the causes and the treatment of TB. The project helped in breaking the myths and in also addressing the taboos towards a patient.

SMART hosted a series of discussions in the villages and invited patients who had got cured to share their stories. Emphasis was on the DOTS and on the investigations. The ‘Bulgum Bhai’ awareness campaign was also broadcast on the radio.
