Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) have a significant global impact, particularly affecting impoverished individuals. India bears the largest burden of at least 11 of these diseases, including kala-azar and lymphatic filariasis. The campaign led by SMART, in collaboration with community radio stations, aimed to address this issue by mobilizing communities, promoting acceptance and consumption of medicines, and working towards the elimination of these diseases in India. The campaign focused on administering IDA drugs in priority states, with intensive monitoring and awareness creation through 22 community radio stations, contributing to the strategy for LF elimination. The report provides further details on the campaign's initiatives.
