Skilling to Empower

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is a significant issue in India, with high rates of physical and sexual violence against women. SMART conducted a survey in Nuh, which revealed the impact of patriarchal norms on women's access to services and their vulnerability to domestic violence. In response, SMART launched the "Hinsa Ko No" initiative, supported by Roop Automotives Ltd, to create awareness, empower women, and address domestic violence. The project utilized community radio, formed safe spaces for women, provided training, and focused on women's agency and wellbeing. The intervention aimed to inform and influence behavior while offering ongoing support to the community.
